Every day, and in so many ways, Mercantile employees work to better our communities. Because each year we volunteer more than 30,000 hours and serve on more than 200 local boards with all of you, the people who make a difference here.
We strive to be as generous as possible with financial support, but we also get that our responsibility goes far beyond that. From large and small towns, to fireworks, football games and parades, you make our corner of the world a wonderful place to be. We love where we live and couldn’t choose better neighbors to build a community with. Thank you for all that you do to make this a special place to be, and for letting us play along.
Community Events
Employee participation in community events is a large part of the Mercantile culture. From walks, runs, bowl and bike-a-thons to dinners, auctions and galas, you can always find Mercantile employees among the guest list. In these and many other ways our employees make a real difference in the community and the lives of others.
Mercantile Bank Foundation
The Mercantile Bank Foundation is a private charitable foundation that enhances our giving program as we work to support all of the communities we serve. It provides a means for Mercantile Bank to consistently support non-profit organizations and charitable giving efforts throughout business cycles. It continues our commitment to making a positive difference and helps to fund the critical needs of our communities, as well as provide support in key areas including Health and Human Services, Community and Economic Development, Education, and Arts & Culture. Mercantile Bank and the Mercantile Bank Foundation do not provide support for political parties, campaigns, or candidates for public office.
This strong commitment to community extends beyond donations. Community development lending, employee volunteer hours, financial education classes and other initiatives continue to work alongside of our foundation to strengthen our ties in our local communities.
